Pre-Inaugural “Ball” to celebrate, get ready and Get Local !

You are invited and your presence will be a gift:

1 North Water Street (next to the train station)
Poughkeepsie, NY

A critical mass of good people from up and down the Hudson Valley will come together to celebrate the inauguration and gather our energy as we prepare to begin a new era just a few days away. We will connect through food, drink, dance and support of local good work. This is a children friendly event. ‘Dressing up’ is optional.

[PLEASE now, RSVP if you are or ‘might’ come by ‘signing up’ on the Obama website so that we have a range for total number. ***See below for what is ***REQUIRED*** at the door for entry to the event.]

Evening to include beautiful view of the sunset over the Hudson River and the two bridges from 5-6pm. There will be discounted drinks and a buffet of food available for $5/plate. Free music, dancing and birthday cake for Martin Luther King, Jr. You will receive a free, handy card with the contact information of your local, state and federal representatives. The “charity buffet” will be from 6.30-8pm including an open mike to hear about ways to stay involved. The Victory Party in November was a great success and this will be a continuation of that vibe.

We are now being asked to shift our investment of interest, time and money so thoroughly invested in the campaigns into building our local communities. The Obamas have also requested that celebrations around the inauguration be tied to charity work and local organizations.
